Cleaned Up




Ok, I reduced the number of three way valves... then found a supplier that actually sells some reasonable ones. (i.e. not $383 each) I added the Propane lines and the whirlpool on the brew kettle. The Hot Liquor Tank we're getting doesn't have a fill inlet at the top. I might ask them just how much that would hurt to add. That would be the only place we need loose hose.

Not too sure what to do about the two flow control valves (propane and water). Most of the rest of the equipment is sourced. Perhaps I'll post the equipment list later.

BEGINNINGS!!!


And so it begins...

This is the initial and incomplete piping and instrumentation diagram for our new 10 gallon system. I still need to add the propane lines and control stuff, but hey, it's a start.

The vessels look like they're going to be long lead time from Stout's, so we will be brewing in the 5 gallon kit until later this year. Soon we're going to start messing with the controller in water and getting our fermentation in line with the awesomeness that will be this brewery. We'll be using some pretty simple test recipes to dial in the process and controllers, then we can start playing!
